Overeating during the Holidays
By Ryan Cote
They say the average person gains 5 lbs during the Holidays. Youre tempted by tons and tons of food- good food- so its no wonder you gain weight.
But dont despair...
I personally dont drive myself crazy during the Holidays with what I eat. Dont get me wrong- I dont go overboard- but for the most part I eat what I want.
Its the Holidays- its only once a year and is supposed to be a happy time. Dont eat yourself into oblivion, but enjoy the good food with a smile on your face.
But this is what I want you to do...
Get a piece of paper and write down the following phrase:
'I, (your name), promise myself that for the next two weeks I will workout extra hard to burn off my extra Holiday calories.'
Now tape this piece of paper somewhere where you will see it often. It may sound corny, but seeing it constantly will help motivate you. Try it!
So now youve enjoyed the delicious Holiday food and, at the same time, eliminated the problems of the extra calories.
